What we know:

We first sold this product back in 2013 and we believe this was the first Weber gas grill to be made outside the USA (China).

The fact it has stayed in production with no changes since 2013 is testament to this being a good entry level Weber BBQ that is priced well.

What we know:

We first sold this BBQ in 2018. One of our Weber Experts, Paddy, was taken on a jolly to the Weber Factory in Chicago and was presented with Weber’s latest range.  This was initially brought in to replace the Classic range, that stayed because of the attractive price point.  This product is definitely an upgrade.
What we know:

This range started to filter through to the UK in 2020/2021.

This range has the build quality of the Spirit II + the shape of the Spirit Classic, which creates a more premium range.

If you call us, we’re going to refer to this range as the Weber Spirit Premium Range.
What we know:

This range started to filter into the UK in 2020/2021.  During The Pandemic, there was a shortage of silicon chips needed for the Connect Technology, so we never saw too many of these grills.

These are exactly the same as the non tech range, but with built in Weber Connect Technology.  Weber Connect Technology gives you:
- digital temperature display
- ability to use probes to give you internal meat temperatures of up to 4 pieces of meat.
- Connect tech snycs with your Android or Apple phone and with the use of the Weber Connect App, it offers you instructional advice during the cook, to let you know when to turn the meat and how long is left on your cook.

Pretty cool for those that like that kind of thing!
What we like:

- Good price point
- Quite lightweight so easy to move around on its 4 castor wheels
What we like:

- A better looking BBQ with Stainless Steel side tables and Control Panel giving it a premium look
- Sturdier build, feels more premium
- Porcelain Enamelled Cast Iron Gourmet BBQ System Cooking Grates – helps get better sear lines on your thick cut steaks and with the GBS style grates you can swap the centre piece out with any of the Gourmet BBQ Accessories such as the pizza stone, griddle, poultry roaster and Dutch Oven
What we like:

- A premium Spirit BBQ, a sleek modern look, with a cabinet door, perfect for stowing away accessories.
What we like:

- A premium Spirit BBQ, a sleek modern look, with a cabinet door, perfect for stowing away accessories.
What we don’t like:

- Cooking grates are only porcelain enamel which don’t hold the heat as well as the porcelain enameled cast iron in the superior models
- Front mesh is not a door – although it does hide things stored inside, it doesn’t feel very permanent
- The RRP seems too high in comparison to the Spirit II equivalent.
What we don’t like:

 - It’s hard to criticise this Weber Spirit, but if I was to be picky, a cabinet door would be nice…

What we don’t like:

- The price – it’s a big jump up from the Spirit II -  if the difference at the time of purchase is more than £100, then I’d probably prefer to get the Spirit II version and buy a couple of accessories or a rotisserie.
What we don’t like:

Another jump up in price from the Weber Spirit Premium Range and I don’t always want my phone in my pocket or hand.
